Our approach

Design that starts with how you use the yacht

Every project starts with the owner: where you cruise, how many guests and crew, how far and how fast you want to go, and how you want to live on board. From there the design balances hull efficiency, propulsion, layout and budget.

Our designs favour hybrid and electric propulsion, efficient hull forms, large glazing and a close connection to the water, from our own 48 Hybrid and Axiom 48 to custom superyacht projects with independent designers.

From scratch

Our design process

The design phase comes before any build contract. You approve each stage before the next one starts.

Brief & feasibility

Cruising area, guests, crew, range, budget and timing, then a first check that size, layout and budget line up.

Concept design

Exterior lines, general arrangement and an outline specification, refined with you in rounds until the concept is right.

Design development

Naval architecture, hull form, propulsion, systems and interior layout, worked into a specification ready for shipyard pricing.

Shipyard & build

Help comparing shipyards and build slots, then continued design involvement through construction, sea trials and delivery.

In-house design

Our own designs

Alongside the independent designers we work with, Azure Yacht Group designs its own yachts and concepts in-house. The range runs from hybrid-electric day cruisers such as the 48 Hybrid and the Axiom 48 catamaran to a 60 ft performance sailing catamaran, motor yachts and expedition superyachts.

We can take your project through the same path: an owner's brief, concept lines and layout, and a specification a shipyard can price and build.
