Shipyards

Shipyards for your new build

Shipyards we can approach for custom and semi-custom builds, grouped by hull material and size.

How we choose a yard

Matching the yard to the yacht

Every shipyard has a size range, materials and build methods it does best, and a calendar of build slots. Once your specification is ready, we send it to yards that suit the yacht's length, hull material and timing, then compare their bids, build slots and terms with you.

The yards below are examples with the relevant capability, described from their own published information. A listing here does not imply a partnership with, or an endorsement by, the yard.

Size & material

Who designs and builds at each size

Length and hull material narrow down which designers, naval architects and shipyards fit a project. Use this as a starting point; we confirm the right team once we know your brief.

Custom superyachts

Full custom or a yard platform with a bespoke exterior and interior, built to classification rules and often to commercial standards.

Typical materials
Aluminum for fast and semi-displacement yachts; steel hull with aluminum superstructure for displacement yachts

Hull materials are explained in detail under steel, aluminum or fiberglass. Shipyards are listed for their published capabilities.
